Factors to Consider in Placing Your Order
It is often said that nothing exists in a vacuum. Astrophysics students often get a chuckle out of that statement, but it is a fundamental truth, none the less. Everything in the world is related in one way or another to everything else. The ordering of a writing assignment from companies like ours is no different. When placing your order with us you need to tell us many things about the project: topic, length, citation style, required resources, etc. Hardly the least important of these details is the deadline. But when should you become concerned enough as a student to resort to hiring professionals like us and how long will your paper actually take to produce? To answer these questions many factors must be taken into account:
How long is the assignment?
A general rule of thumb is it takes at least two hours per page to research and write your article. This translates into 6 to 8 hours for every 1,000 words required. Naturally assignments that require more intense research or information analysis in their preparation will take more time.
Must the sources be certified scholarly sources?
It is becoming increasingly common for researchers to be charged significant amounts for access to articles from industrial and scholastic resources, particularly if those resources have been archived in a database. These costs should be taken into account in the price you are willing to pay for your assignment.
How soon does the article need to be ready?
Again, as a general rule, if the deadline requires the writer to work more than six to eight hours a day to complete your assignment on time or requires him to research and write the paper in less time than discussed earlier, you should be ready to pay additional funds to the writer for going above and beyond the call of duty. Cramming a six to eight hour paper into four or five hours is not an easy thing to do and takes incredible talent and effort on the part of the writer.
Will the assignment require special software or development?
If the assignment requires custom charts, HTML coding or other specialized considerations, the client must anticipate this costing more than a simple essay fee. Although there are many inexpensive word processing programs that can produce a “doc” or “rtf” file, things like Excel spreadsheets or PowerPoint presentations typically require access to Microsoft Office, which is, first off, not cheap in itself and secondly requires specialized knowledge beyond simple research and writing skills.
Does the assignment require a specific text or media resource?
This is a major delay maker. One writer recently had to do an article regarding a docudrama on a historic figure. To perform the assignment the writer had to search the public library networks in his metropolitan area to locate a copy of it and then spent a half-day on community buses to reach the library that had it. This, of course, took him away from his preparation of other assignments as well as delaying the completion of the assignment the media item was for.
When are you ordering the assignment?
Another important factor that is often overlooked by clients when submitting their assignment and setting a deadline for it is the time of year the order is being made. From Halloween to mid-December and from Tax Day (April 15th) to mid-May are typically heavy workload periods. Delays in completed orders are rather common during this time due to extremely heavy workloads and you should plan accordingly when ordering your assignment from us. Outside of these time periods assignments may be completed in a surprisingly short time, depending on the availability of a qualified writer.
Essentially, you should never expect a paper to take less than a full day for every 1,000 words required. Add another day for the preparation of Excel charts or PowerPoint presentations.
Clients should also take into consideration that assignments are not always picked up by a writer right away. The more difficult the subject, the more likely it will take a day or two for a qualified writer to take the assignment, particularly during the hectic seasons mentioned above when writers are scrambling to keep up with the demand of our clients. This assignment acceptance delay is also a factor for assignments that require specialized software such as Excel or PowerPoint. Although many writers may have the software, they do not always have the skill necessary to utilize the software effectively.
