The most devastating war in history with lives lost and material destruction was World War II. It left a New World Order dominated by United States and the USSR. It involved nations entire human, economic resources, and the industrial capacity. The cause of World War II were the disagreements of a policy in the postwar period and were unsure of their capability to defend the peace settlement; and the rise of nationalistic, militaristic, and totalitarianism took on by the Italian name Fascism. Benito Mussolini was the first fascist dictatorship in Italy of 1922.Ten years later in 1933 Adolf Hitler rose to a new lead of fascist, Nazism.
With the rise of the axis's Japan created a minor conflict with Chinese troops near Mudken to prepare the take-over of Manchuria, which also forms the Rome-Berlin-Tokyo Axis. With Mussolini supporting Hitler, he launched an expansion to annex Austria. Soon to threaten war to annex the western border of Czechoslovakia, the Sudentenland, six months later seizing the rest of Czechoslovakia, and Poland. Germany's only enemy that was standing in his way was Great Britain under a new Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. Germany hoped on the starving of Britain would subdue them. March of 1941 the United States Congress passed a Lend-Lease Act with a total of 7 billion lend or lease weapons and or other aid to any countries.

Soon after the Lend-Lease Act a conflict had aroused causing Britain, United States, and the Netherlands to freeze out Japan assets which was to prevent Japan from buying oil. This Act lead Japan to come up with a plan to make fast sweets into Burma. Malaya, the East Indies, and the Philippines hoping the United States would declare war. Japans only concern was the base In Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. On December 7, 1941 Japanese airplanes bombed Pearl Harbor that sank atleast eight battleships and 13 other naval vessels causing the United States into the war. The U.S captured Nurnberg the site of the Nazi Party Rallies. And the British launched another attack that lead the Soviet Union to advance into Berlin. The resistance against the Americans and British ceased but Germany kept fighting in fear of falling under the Soviet Union. On the afternoon of April 30th Hitler committed suicide and his last act he named Grand Admiral Karl Doenitz to succeed him as chief of state. Doenitz who was in fact loyal but had no course open to him other than to surrender.
There were new weapons introduced into World War II and there was still the weapons from World War I. Improvements of the tanks and aircraft's were included, the new weapons were the long-range Rocket, and the Atomic Bomb. The Atomic Bomb was introduced towards the end of war when the United States proposed for a last attack for Japan. The scheduling of the bombing to take place was in November of 1945 when three bombs were built with one being the test and the other two were to force the surrender of Japan. The development of a massive scientific and industrial project to produce the atomic bomb was kept secrete for a while and it was called the Manhattan project. President Harry S.
