In the mid-1960s a series of independent events led to the “modern movement” in modern psychology. This then started to the International Association of Cross- Cultural Psychology in 1972. The IACCP is a organization containing exactly eight hundred psychologists from 70 countries. The opinion that the only way psychology can reach the highest level of scientific achievement and influence, and be equal to sciences such as physics and chemistry most scientists agree that the solution is to extend its investigations to all corners of the world.

And most psychologists who have ever lived are from the same areas. This is has been called the W. A. S. P. proportions, this stands for the Western Academic Scientific Psychology. Psychology has been accused of being culture bound and culture- blind. An example is in most psychological investigations the information often left out is, different family structures, different values placed n children, different views of casuality, a considerable variation in cognition, these are just a few of the many examples.
The writer of this article teaches psychology in a solid department in a University to able students for 32 years. He enjoys psychology and thinks it helps to understand the human mind and to contribute to the solution of human problems. He also believes that the most important thing is providing students with a solid foundation in all the topics in basic psychology. A large amount of questions may be asked to seach for commonalities like the question “Are the laws of learning, perception, memory and other basic processes the same in one area on the planet the same as another area?” “Are conformity and depression the same everywhere?”
The reason that psychologists do not want to get involved with other cultures is there is difficulties in funding, reasearchers may want to just stay home with their own languages, labratories, customs and values. Some psychologists may decide that theirs enough in their own part of the world. Another factor that is dampening to the growth of psychology is the map of the world the belief that laws of human behavior
