Why Me?

I'm walking all by myself,
I don't know which way to go,
I look around and realize that it's raining cats and dogs.

I look around and find a bar,
some people are drunk as skunks,
right now I feel under the weather,
but I guess I have to fight tooth and nail,
I'm walking all by myself.

Sometimes I think I'm not wanted,
I don't know what I did wrong,
I feel like I opened a can of worms and it will never close,
I have to get off my high horse,
but it's not as easy as pie,
I'm walking all by myself.

My whole life I've been chasing rainbows,
I have already flipped my lid,
lately I've been looking for it,
but I guess I dropped it on the way,
I'm walking all by myself.

I'm not going to be a wolf in sheep's clothing,
but I guess I'm going to have to change,
some people think life is a barrel of monkeys,
I'm walking all by myself.

I see someone homeless begging for money,
while on the verge of dying,
I slip him a five,
but he's still as poor as a church mouse,
I say to him there's always a light at the end of the tunnel,
but if you don't find it you have to keep on trying,
I'm walking all by myself.

Teenagers are laughing at a man with a dog,
they're calling him blind as a bat,
I think to myself what it would be like,
Please don't let me be like that,
I'm walking all by myself.

I looked in a closed store's window and saw my reflection,
I say to myself it's time,
I have a five o'clock shadow,
I guess I'm a chip off the old block you see,
my Uncle wanted to commit suicide too,
I'm walking all by myself.

I'm thinking if how my life is like hell,
and how I'm living with Satan,
It seems I might as well kick the bucket,
I'm walking all by myself.
