The death of Princess Diana was an event that shocked the whole world. This event was considered a tragedy. When she passed away, the world mourned and sorrowed her death. Princess Diana s did not cause her own death, but in fact, there were people involved in her tragedy. Several different people caused her tragedy. Therefore, In the story, Macbeth, by William Shakespeare, Macbeth not only caused his own death, but others were responsible, for his tragedy.
One of the characters that lead to the tragedy of Macbeth, was Macbeth himself. Macbeth did many things, to lead to his own tragedy. One example was the acts that Macbeth committed, to get the throne of King. This act was murdering King Duncan. I feel how the future is in the instant; never shall sun that morrow see! says Lady Macbeth. In this preceding quote, Lady Macbeth explains the murder that is about to occur. She explains that, the sun the King sees now, will be the last sun he will ever see. Another example that lead to Macbeth s tragedy, was his arrogance and mindset, that made him believe that he was invincible. I bear a charmed life, which must not yield to one of woman born, says Macbeth. In this preceding quote, Macbeth tells Macduff, that he will not die to him, because he is born of woman.
Another character that lead to the tragedy of Macbeth, was his wife, Lady Macbeth. Lady Macbeth also committed many things, which lead to his tragedy. One example, would be her obsession of killing the King. Her obsession to murder the King, was absorbed and completed by Macbeth. Made them drunk hath me hold, says Lady Macbeth. In this preceding quote, Lady Macbeth completes the first part, of the master plan to kill the King. Another example would be the confessions that she had made in her sleep, to the people in the castle. Fie, my lord what need we fear none can call our power to accompt? Yet who would have thought the old man Duncan to have so much blood in him? Will these hands ne er be clean? all the perfumes of Arabia will not sweeten this little hand, states Lady Macbeth. In the preceding quote, Lady Macbeth admits all of the sins she and her husband have committed. Lady Macbeth does not this intentionally, but rather in her deepest sleep.
Another character that lead to the tragedy of Macbeth, were the three witches. The three witches told Macbeth their future thoughts, which lead to his tragedy. One of these thoughts was, that a man not born of woman would only kill him. This prophetic reading, lead Macbeth to believe that he was invincible. Be bloody, bold, and resolute: laugh to scorn the power of man; for none of woman born shall harm Macbeth, states the three witches. In the preceding quote, the three witches tell Macbeth that a man not born of woman would only kill him.
In the story, Macbeth, by William Shakespeare, Macbeth not only caused his own death, but others were responsible, for his tragedy. There were three characters that caused the tragedy of Macbeth. Their prophecy, that told Macbeth he could only be killed by man born of woman, lead to his tragedy.
