The dictionary definition of diversity stresses differences, but as we're told 'officially' there are no differences at all. And that's what makes this sham 'diversity' such a living hell. So, Canadians are effectively and quite efficiently crippled. We are not permitted to talk about issues of diversity or immigration without being accused of racism which violates section 2 (b) of the charter, that states "Every one has the freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression," and there is still people who believe that "We have rights, different opinions without prejudice." (Francis) Soon it will bear no resemblance to the former community. Different cultural values and customs will prevail. Canadians have been eager and willing accomplices in their own demise.
Canadian population is shrinking and aging, and immigrants will cheerfully shell out for Canadian pensions when the time comes. Instead of encouraging the growth of Canadian families with incentives, the government rather opens its doors to immigration. But Canadians were never consulted about changes to the national policy. They are just not convinced that they like, or want, even more immigration. Canada reached the hog-wallow of lows when it limited 'free speech' to a point where it became unclear to anyone who supported the idea but of course there have to be limits. After all, it's easier to live on your knees as a slave and face extinction, than it is to stand up and speak out.
Canada has no culture. A robbed identity makes Canadians rush to import active cultures and identities, being so hopelessly deprived of one of their own. Canadian culture has been effectively abolished. Canada has become a cacophony of cultures and a babble of languages all jostling for a piece of the pie, where an intelligent discussion of cultural issues is not tolerated. It is thus that Canada becomes a dull, artificial construct defined by dotted lines on a map.
Immigration causes repercussions and has effects but as always in Canada, immigration boils down to an economic argument. Immigrants have generated or may generate money. Therefore, we need them. Therefore, you'd better shut up, or I'll have to assume you're racist, and we wouldn't want that, would we? Because The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms in section 15 (1) states that "Every individual is equal before and under the law and has the right to the equal protection and equal benefit of the law without discrimination and, in particular, without discrimination based on race, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, sex, age or mental or physical disability." Will Canadians ever be able to know the actual costs of the effects of immigration? The almost incidental possibility that this may just be a self-imposed act of genocide. Canadians have been so exhausted lied to, mistreated and misled; they no longer dare trust or follow their instincts.
The only permissible posture is an untruthful one, where Canadians themselves are encouraged to further ethnic and racial stereotypes. Therefore, I'll have to agree with Fred Clark, who said, "A true Canadian is only a stereotype." The further Canadians slide down this greasy slope of damnation, the more they had better hope that this is indeed an official policy of genocide. If it's sheer stupidity, Canadians are really in trouble.

yes. i do agree that with all the immigrants, canada does lose a sense of a real culture. it does have a lot of them, but no particular one. but does that not make it more diversified? and makes it easier for people to fit in, as opposed to canada only allowing all immigrants to practice one culture, it would be hard for these new immigrants to fit in or adapt.
