The holocaust was the product of hatred and prejudice created by Hitler. Hitler’s hatred for all people except the “Aryan” race helped him gain popularity in the German people.
The holocaust was the development of Nazi beliefs.
The war crippled the economy and helped pave the way for a new leader.
The belief of the Nazi’s were that the supreme race was the Aryan race.
Many events lead to the holocaust.

The war had many effects on the people, this created the perfect situation for a new leader to help rebuild Germany.
After World War One the Germans were humiliated and depression hit the economy. Hitler and his party helped him get control and he became the chancellor in 1933.(pg 561)
As Hitler beliefs of the Aryan race spread so did his power over the people.
The Nazi’s believed that the Aryan race was superior to all other races.
Hitler planned to create a “New Order” for the Aryan race.(615)
He wanted total control of Europe and all its resources.(615)
He also considered the Germans as the “master race.”(615)
Nazis would exterminate “undesirable elements” such as the Jews and Slavs.(615)
Many things led to the holocaust.
-At first, they were told Jews were not desired and prohibited.
-Jehovah Witnesses, handicapped individuals, and foreigners were also considered -inferior.
-Verbal attacks were only the beginning.
-1933, Hitler called for a boycott of all Jewish businesses
-The large-scale avoidance
-The government was quick to pass laws that torched Jewish citizenship and their legal rights within the society.
-Forced all other races to where identification tags. Jews wore star of David(615)
-First violence occurred in Kristallnacht.(destruction of businesses)
mid 1940 Nazis began to persecute Jews in the land they had conquered
-Jews sent to ghettos where life was unbearable(615) unsanitary, little food, diseases spread rapidly
-mobile killing squads were formed with the express purpose of killing all Jews
-The plan was called the "Final Solution to the Jewish Question" to destroy all Jews focused initially on the elderly, handicapped, and incurably ill
-killed Jews 1942 sent to camps like the Auschwitz Poland murdered in gas chambers, starved and cruel experiments
