In ones mind the Holocaust and the Titanic can be seen as a triumph. The Holocaust is a triumph because if it didn t happen back than in the 1930 s and 1940 it might have happened now. It also made people aware of other races and religions and how the people that are apart and involved with them are humans just like everyone else. The Holocaust can also be seen as a triumph because if it had happened now there would have been a lot more deaths. The Titanic can be seen as a triumph because it made people aware of how no matter what race religion or wealth a person is they should be treated the same as the next person in line. It can also be seen as a triumph because if it had not happened in the early 1900 s something like it may have happened at a latter date resulting in more deaths.
The first reason why the Holocaust is seen as a triumph is because if it did not happen a long time ago it may have happened now because people may have been still narrow minded about other cultures, races, and wealth s if it did not happen a while ago. It made many people aware that every human in the world is equal. For instance a Jew is the same and should be treated the same as a Catholic person. They may have different views but they are both humans with feelings and rights.
If the Holocaust did not happen a long time ago it may have happened now and therefore the whole world might be a mess. With the nuclear weapons today a push of a button could kill the world. Therefore the Holocaust can and is seen as a triumph because it made people aware of other people s views in the world and it may have prevented a nuclear war between races, cultures and wealth s in the late 20th century.
The Holocaust is a triumph because if it did not happen in the 30 s and 40 s it may have happened now resulting in more deaths because of more man power army s have now and the weapons people have now. The difference in deaths could have been very great seeing how the world s population has increased by almost 75% since the Holocaust.
The Titanic can be seen as a triumph because it made many people realize that it is not right to treat people of different races or different wealth s unlike them selves. On the Titanic people who were of a lower class were kept down in the boat while it sank. These people got less safety features and most were not saved just because of their wealth situation.
If the Titanic had not sunk and if so many people had not died perhaps big boats today would still have the lower, middle and upper class seating. Because there are more people on boats today and a lot more boats in the ocean today there may be a lot more deaths if one of these boats sank. Therefore the Titanic is a triumph because it made people realize that be putting a price value on a persons life is wrong.
Because of the reasons stated here it is a proven fact that the Holocaust and the Titanic are triumphs because of the deaths they saved the world in the late 20th century. They also made people realize that race, culture, religion and wealth does not make a difference on how a person should be treated.
