Many seek aid in credit control.
This article is about keeping your personal debts in control. Thousands of people
called USA Today’s debt buster Hot Line to seek advice on there current financial
situations. The article showed some of these peoples questions and it tells the advice that
was given. Some of the questions included were "How do I get that low interest rate
back? How come my interest rate jumped up with only one late payment? How come my
bill doubled when it went to a collection agency? And how can I get a free copy of my
credit report?"
I read the article and it helped me learn the tricks that these credit card
companies try and pull. I never knew that my interest rates could go up when I missed
one of my payments.
My roommate and I were looking into getting a new house in
Colorado. Upon looking into our credit history we found that it would be hard to get
approved for a home mortgage. I have learned that there are companies that could help
you consolidate bills and would make it easy for me to get a house. I think that I will do
that in the near future.
I think that a consolidation would help me get caught up with all of my payments
for my motor cycle, insurance, and car payments. I think that the best way for me to
control my spending is for me to cut up all of my credit cards and tell the companies to
close my accounts. If I want to buy something I will pay cash for it, and if I don’t have
the cash, then I won’t get it.
