Who Is A Serial Killer?
Who develops into a serial murderer? How does a serial killer operate? Is it genetics, biological, or cultural conditioning that makes these people killers? We all experience rage, yet we have all have the ability to control these behaviors. What sets us apart from a killer?
Serial killers have blamed a number of excuses for their behavior. Some have blamed their upbringing while others say they were born with a part of them missing.
While others blame the voices in their heads, some swear that prison has turned them into monsters while others like John Wayne Gacy, turn the blame on the victims and swear that they deserved to die.
The average serial killer is a white male from a lower to middle class background. He is usually in his twenties or thirties. Many were physically or mentally abused by their parents. As children these killers often set fires, tortured animals, and wet their beds. These criminals are also fascinated with police and authority figures in general.
Serial killers pick victims that are weaker themselves. Often these victims will fit a certain stereotype that is symbolic for he killer. Serial killers also seek great pleasure in torturing their victims. Serial killers feel the need to dominate and control their victims. Because or a serial killer psychopathic nature, they do not feel sympathy for others.
What goes on in a serial killers mind? Could brain injuries, childhood abuse, genetics, chemical imbalances or exposure to a traumatic event cause these humans to kill, or do these people just kill for the thrills, lust, and comfort. Whatever the case maybe we all at encounter these experiences at some time in our lives. So are we all potential killers?
