Euthanasia has been a popular topic nowadays, but not many peo0le may know about this subject in depth. In my opinion, Dr. Philip’s idea is good as it can help the elderly people to get more information about different methods of euthanasia. As euthanasia is a new issue that came up recently, most elderly people may not know much about it. I think the workshop will be a good way to let more elderly people learn about this subject. In fact, I think not only euthanasia workshop can be held, but also other workshops on different medical issues can be held. I think other doctors can also think about holding workshops such as cancer workshop in order to teach some elderly people knowledge about those illnesses. The workshop by Dr. Philip will be worth for those healthy elderly people.
On the other hand, euthanasia has raised a lot of question worldwide. In today's society there are many disagreements about the rights and wrongs of euthanasia. Although death is unavoidable for human beings, suffering before death is unbearable not only for terminal patients but also for the family members and friends. Whether euthanasia should be legalized or not is always what people argue in today’s world. There are growing number of people believe that euthanasia is acceptable in our society because it relieves the unnecessary pain and suffering of patients and their family. Euthanasia is also a good way for people that have family members that are retarded to help out the person and end their incapacitated lives. Euthanasia is also a very good choice for elderly people because they often suffer much before they finally can die. Suffering is a terrible thing and euthanasia can help them to relieve the suffering. I think legalization of euthanasia is necessary as people who have terminal illnesses can have an alternate choice for their life.
I think the workshop of euthanasia by Dr. Philip may also open to not only those healthy elderly people but also different age groups. I believe that Euthanasia will be a trend if there are more people knows about this subject in depth.
