Dear Paul Ryan:
Do we really need the Electoral College? I’m writing to you saying that we really don’t need it. I am looking forward in voting in my future years for further elections, but is the Electoral College really needed? I believe that the way that our country votes is wrong. The Electoral College makes everything more complicated.
The Electoral College is not needed because the popular vote should count. I truly believe the president of the United States be chosen by the people. For example, this past election was very confusing and complicated. It took days and days to for it to finally be over. But were the people really happy about the results? No they were not. The president should be chosen by just simply the votes of the people of the United States of America. With the Electoral College it makes it a lot more confusing and days of work, even when sometime the results don’t please many of the people. The Electoral College is very organized and well put together, but it’s not what the people want. The people want the president to be chosen by the votes of the people of the United States of America. That is why I truly believe the Electoral College should be repealed, and the voting process should be changed
The Electoral College is a great thing. But is that really what the people want? It makes everything a lot more difficult. Is that what we really want? For the person with the most votes to lose because of the Electoral College. I hope the Electoral College will be repealed, and just plain voting will say what the people of the United States want.
