In the five years that I have been teaching preschool and studying child development theorits and practices the most common learning disability that I have encountered is Attention Deficit Disorder : now also, known as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. I have often been asked for my opinion on effects of treatments that are being sugguested for thier young children; and thougt, this is a wonderful opportunity to learn more on the condition. Three to five percent of the 65 million children under the age of eighteen in the United States have been diagnosed with (A.D.D.) This paper will discuss the medical explanation and symptoms which are wbservable in shildren who are diagnosed. Iyt will also investigate a variety of current medical practices. At the end of this paper you will be able to better understand the learning disorder called Attention Deficit Disorder.
