Term paper on Why Is Communism, Fascism And Nazism More Alike Than Different
Communism term papers
In my high school, I was given the history book and taught about three popular movements during the 21st century. Communism, Nazism (National Socialism), and Fascism, the latter pronounced with a terrifying tone, and the fold of the digits.
As I got to read the chapter by Richard Pipes, Communism, Fascism, and National Socialism, it occurred to me, how wrong was my teacher and those inaccurate history books in defining all of them poles apart. Though governments and regimes are given a distinct name for a purpose, but to not link them together is a serious error for the future of all historians. As the author says: In practice, all political, economic and social systems are mixed ; none is pure.
Elaborating on that quote, Richard Pipes starts of first with the Italian Fascist party. He has literally convinced us by pleading page after page, that fascism is the bastard child of Lenin s Bolshevik regime. Giving us concrete substantiation, on why was Fascism one of the thorns born from the roots of Communism:
No prominent European socialist before World War I resembled Lenin more closely than Benito Mussolini. Like Lenin, he headed the antirevolutionary wing of the country s Socialist Party; like him, he believed that the worker was not by nature a revolutionary and had to be podded to radical action by an intellectual elite.
The dawn of a Western European cataclysm was formed by the Italian born Benito, son of an artisan in the province of Romagna. Benito s father was of Marxist views and had embedded those very thoughts into his son, that mankind was divided into two classes, the exploited and the exploiters. Mussolini later translated these words as his political socialist slogan, (sfruttati and sfruttatori). But prior to his political movement, he regarded Marx as a, father and teacher, not for his economics and sociology, but for being the grand philosopher of worker violence. His stringent links to the Russian revolutionary government made him follow every word literally, of the Bolshevik thought.
It was a class struggle for the Italian, similar to the Russians, with the proletariat dwelling in the Italian boot, and the working class in the post-monarchic land of the Russians. The joint resentment towards the capitalists and the aristocracy ruling over them, the common word of the violent revolution , which was to be carried out none other than the oppressed class. Mussolini s idea behind all of his reformism lied in his saying, economic organizations [trade unions] are reformist because economic reality is reformist if labor was to be revolutionised, it required an aristocracy of intelligence and will to lead it. Boy doesn t that sound familiar to Comrade Lenin s ideology.
Mussolini s claim to affinities with the Communists was no secret. Even after his successful reign to the Fascist party, with no hesitation, Mussolini acknowledged, In the whole negative part, we are alike. We and the Russians are against the liberals, against democrats, against parliament
But they were no Siamese twins, number one, for Communism was born before, and secondly, it all summed down to who was a genuine nationalist and a hard-core socialist. For the Italian it was his high spirited nationalism which drove him and his country to World War II, and it was Lenin s manifesto of being a true socialist, by trying to spread his message across the seas, and the borders. To give it a literal meaning Lenin s socialism was International.
Germany s Nazi party enters the bitter brotherhood of Russian Communism, compliments to the so called propagated Protocols of the Elders of Zion, by Norman Cohn, provided Hitler for an official warrant to begin his genocide against the Jews.
Compiled in the late 1800s, it was given light during the bloody Russian revolution of 1917, and then made public in Germany by numerous published copies. Within the Protocols, consisted a master plan of the subjugation of Christian states and the establishment of a Jewish protectorate, by supporting the communist s upbringing in Russia. By the time it reached Germany, it was enough a reason for Hitler to rightfully claim that Zionism administered the German Communists in his Fatherland. The Jewish holocaust thus turned out to be one of the many unanticipated and unintended consequences of the Russian Revolution.
Hitler learned from the Bolsheviks and used their tactics on the Germans, his sly mind would later recruit ex-communists within his party for the intense hate which the communists were born with, and the art of applying a strong rebellion. Hitler used his secretive communist techniques for creating a racial, and Aryan Germany.
The three totalitarian ideologists fancied the so called One Party Concept , by eliminating all parties and legalising theirs. Like Lenin, Mussolini and Hitler used their organisations to take over the state, and got hold of the legislative bodies and the executive. This all had to be protected by a strong Police Force, for the Russians it was the Cheka, the German s the Gestapo, and the Italians had the OVRA. To punish the enemy of the state, Lenin formed two tribunals, which inturn was imitated by Hitler s Special Courts (Sondergerichte), and People s Courts (Volksgerichthofe). A nail in the coffin for their respective countries was the interference with labour and private enterprises. Though the Russians made their collective projects, a world affair, the Germans and the Italians had their share of dominance over private enterprises in an enigmatic fashion. Both of them publicly did not announce their desire to infiltrate with private businesses, but who would be called the macho man , if full control over schools, officials, legislature, labour, and business was not entrenched.
Europe was to see power being snatched from the ordinary man, and the entitlement of being free which he was born with. He was raped of his rights, and bruised from being ruled upon. But, as the popular saying goes, Those who don t learn from history, are bound to repeat history . It all summed down to a revolution for freedom, yet again.
