MacDonald Hall Goes To Hollywood was published by Scolastic in 1991 and written by Gordan Korman.There are 217 pages in this book and it is a fictional novel.
When a film crew shoots on location at McDonald Hall an all boys school. When best friends Bruno and Boots become friends with the star Jordie Jones who turns out to be alot like them.Bruno tryes to get into the movie and all the parts hes in the director cuts out.When Bruno and Boots went to Die in the Woods,a survival trip Jordie disides to go to and not let any one know where hes at. When nobody knows where Jordie is the girls accrossed the street whould know since they particaly spy on Jordies trailer all day and night.Cathy Burton the tundra leopard would know exacly where Jordie is because she is one of his biggest fans.When they returned from die in the woods and all unpacked and ready for an other take for the movie the Super Duper Jumbo Boomer was placed under Jordies trailer placed there by Bruno when he tryed to blow up the trailer.When a building was sposed to calaps with pushing the switch the Super Duper Jumbo Boomer was set off.
BOOM!!,POW!!,BAM!! Everyone was so trerified that noone could move breathe or speak. And since that seen cost so much money the stunt clip that Bruno did was actually put into the movie. Even Jordie was happy even that he had to leave that day because the season premiere was in Torono were the school was so Bruno and Boots got invited to the season premiere.
This book was not the best book I ever read or the worst. I realy like the part when the boys were playing poker and the cake blew up. I was realy funny when Larrys arms dislocated and he threwup all over himself when he got a royal flush.I found it was really boring when Jordie wasnt in it. This book made me laugh out loud and it was like I was in the book watching what was going on.
Upper elementry and middle schools would like this book because it is easy to follow and its not to much to read.
