1. Marx and Engels refer to the ongoing struggles between different classes, stating that since the beginning of time and society there have been oppressors and oppressed, and that for centuries weaker classes have been fighting stronger classes for control, power and freedom.
2. The writers claim that as the modern industry develops, women supersede men in the workplace, their expertise, physical strength are no longer necessary for their line of work. According to Marx and Engels, the differences between the sexes no longer exist, and that both men and women (as well as children) fit into the same category: instruments of labor.
3. Under capitalism, all classes struggle to survive. Because of the system s interdependence, all classes under it have to fight for their existence, and while doing so gather into different unions that fight each other. Hatred exists between the majority of the classes, and power struggles are crucial for existence.
4. Capitalism is doomed to self distract because of the interdependence between the capital earned (going into the bourgeoisie s pockets), the evolving industry, and the wage labor. The more capital is earned, the more modernization takes place, and these two lead to struggles for power between different classes/trade unions who fight for their members work and wage. According to Marx and Engels Capitalism will never be able to exist because the working class isn t content and is in a constant fight for power.
5. The communists are the true representatives of the working classes. They are a part of the proletariat and are concerned with the working classes all around the world, and claim they will look out for the independence and well being of all working classes around the world.
6. Marx and Engels say that communism isn t about destroying privet property, but rather destroying property that belongs to the bourgeois who they claim have not earned the property and have no right to it. They say that the bourgeois acquired the property with money they made off the proletariat s hard work, and should no be allowed to keep the property.
7. The writers think that both nations and nationality should be abolished. They claim that once the proletariat unites there will be no need for nations or nationality. All the world s countries will unite and everyone will live under the political supremacy of the proletariat
8. The communist revolution seeks to achieve the abolition of all private property, heavy progressive income tax, abolition of rights of inheritance, centralization of credit with the State Capital Bank, extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the state, equal liability of labor, combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries, and free education for all children (along side the abolition of child labor).
9. Marx and Engels dislike Utopian socialism because they think that although they had some revolutionary ideas that are acceptable on the communists, they aren t radical enough, and choose to appeal to the feelings and the purses of the bourgeois (who are the communist s enemy).
10. Communists everywhere support other opposition and reform movements against the existing social and political order, but still maintain their individuality and call for a communist revolution.
