THE BIG QUESTION
by: Martin Raiter

Bill Clinton is the President of the United States. He is very famous and not just due to the fact that he is president. Bill Clinton has been in the news as all presidents before him have and has been publicized greatly. Yet there is another reason that President Clinton is famous, not just due to his job as president. A much different reason but still related to him being a politician.
Not too long ago our current president, Bill Clinton, was the governor of Arkansas and a fairly well known politician. During his time in office, he had supposedly sexually harassed one of the female employees, Paula Jones. Soon after, this employee came out of the dark and sued the politician for sexual harassment. During this legal suit, Bill Clinton denied ever having any sort of sexual relationship with Paula Jones.
Now a few years later Bill Clinton was found being accused a second time by White House secretary Monica Lewinsky. This aroused suspicion in the president's personal life. Soon after the accusation, Clinton was asked if he had any sort sexual relationship with Monica Lewinsky and once again he denied that any existed. After all that had occurred, the white house decided to do an investigation on whether or not "Slick Willy" had actually had some sort of relationship with Monica Lewinsky.
The question at hand now is do I think that they ever should have asked the question of " Did you have any sort of sexual relationship with Miss. Lewinsky?" and in my opinion it is none of the countries damn business. Although I believe that President Clinton is somewhat of a self-conscious bastard, I don't think that the questions they asked him mattered one damn bit. He is still going to remain in office for the next year and he is going to get off one hundred percent clean.
We gained nothing from asking this question and we wasted a great amount of time effort and money on the whole thing. When you put it into my perspective, we wasted a lot more money than most believe. This is because from my point of view Clinton was committed to attending impeachment hearings and tried to save his own ass by not only risking lives of Americans but by also wasting money and resources. I am referring to the bombings of Iraq that occurred. I see this as our President trying to get himself out of a jam by occupying the country with something else. Unfortunately for him it only postponed the inevitable.
I believe that if the question of whether Clinton did or did not have any sexual relationships was pointless for another reason. For starters, his answer probably made somewhat of an impact on the rest of the country in terms of what is morally acceptable from the average. The other reason is that what Clinton does behind closed doors is exactly that, " behind closed doors!" and is none of the countries damn business even if he is the president. Besides, who really cares about it that much except for the information services in the country like newspapers and magazines, I'd bet they made a pretty penny with all the different things to report about. Heck, when all this first started, we basically secured information services a topic for quite some time.
With everything that has occurred as a result to asking that question, the country lost a lot of money and made a lot of money. Taxpayers dollars were spent on not only investigative procedures but also on the Iraqi air strikes that Clinton called on to cover his ass. Through all of this, the country's view on morals and our view of the president has changed greatly. It all could have been avoided if they had just cared not to ask that first question.
