Approximately every two minutes, a teenage girl in the U.S. gives birth. According to Bren Guersny in a book called The Facts about Teenage Pregnancy. While this fact may be sad and startling to most people, it is indeed the truth. Over the past few decades, the problem of teen pregnancy has grown considerably in this country and in particular, in Pomona. Most women want to become mothers when they are ready and can plan for it, yet an increasing amount of teenagers are getting pregnant at a early age. C.A.S.E. is here to prevent these young teenagers from getting pregnant. C.A.S.E. stands for Center for Adolescent Sexual Education. Preventing teenage pregnancy includes such problems as the availability of birth control, sexual education among children and adolescents, and parental support. As a taxpayer and as a citizen, this problem concerns everyone. A portion of your hardworking money should go into a prevention center that stops teenage pregnancies rather than support them. Teenage pregnancies should be prevented and that is exactly what C.A.S.E. is here for. Our vision is not to force information on teens but rather let them absorb it. We provide a nurturing and educational environment. Grace will talk about Why we need the changes. Griselda will talk about the Solution to this issue. Margarita will discuss the accounting and where the funds will go. Robert will talk about the benefits of C.A.S.E. and last will be Joseph who will conclude and give the final plea.
