The Issue of Abortion
Abortion should be legal because it is the natural right of the parents. Rape, inability to provide good living conditions, incest are all legitimate reasons for an abortion. After three months of being pregnant you should have decided already if you are ready to take on the responsibility of a child. By the third month they are beginning to develop fingers and toes, and are almost ready to respond to outside stimulation. Up until that point I feel that it should be legal. If every child that was conceived were brought into this world, there would be no happy children, because all of them would be starving. Natural selection is not taking place with all of the technology that we have, so we must prevent at least some of the births. If the choice is to have an abortion and five years later have a child that will grow up with a father, in a nice neighborhood, with food in the kitchen. I feel that the mother should have every right to prevent another starving and unhappy child from being brought into this world.
Abortion can also be considered a crime. There are people who believe that since there are preventative measures that can be taken that every baby should be born. Abortion shouldn’t have to take place even if it was a rape because it was the mother’s fault for being where she was at that time, and that it wasn’t the baby’s fault. If you are having conceptual sex, you should be on a form of birth control other than just condoms to prevent any mishaps. Since an unwanted pregnancy is avoidable, every child should be brought into this world; even they must be put t up for adoption.
